BUILDING BRIDGES TO THE GENERATIONS: HOW TO DEVELOP, MOTIVATE AND RETAIN THE GENERATIONS IN THE WORKPLACE
We currently have employees from four generational cohorts in the workplace today. Individuals from each generation bring with them experiences that influence their work style and values. A generational perspective can allow managers to develop unique strategies that will increase motivation, improve performance and increase employee retention.

“Alisa's presentation on generational differences is beneficial for any organization desiring a better understanding of its current employees, as well as the workforce of the future."

MOTIVATIONAL STRATEGIES TO RETAIN TALENT AND IMPROVE PERFORMANCE
Older employees will be retiring at record rates in the next 10 years. The cost of acquiring talent is much higher than the cost of keeping current talent. In this workshop, supervisors and managers will learn a variety of strategies that they can immediately put in place to improve communication, enhance motivation and create a high-retention culture.

"Solid presentation.  Time-honored practices were presented in a meaningful context."

IMPROVING PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS
The way we feel about ourselves has a direct impact on our relationships with others, success at work and satisfaction with our lives. This workshop is designed to help participants improve personal effectiveness by: understanding where messages about themselves come from, developing strategies to create affirming self-talk, and learning to focus on their strengths.

"This was an engaging and relevant workshop".

PERFORMANCE FEEDBACK
Supervisors and employees are taught essential skills that are needed for performance feedback to be most effective.  Supervisors learn how to give feedback to improve motivation and productivity. Employees learn how to create value from the performance feedback discussion.

CUSTOMER RELATIONS
This is a comprehensive program designed to improve relationships with customers and co-workers.  Participants build skills in the areas of conveying a positive attitude; listening; problem solving; communicating with difficult people and telephone techniques.  This training can be scheduled in 2-hour segments, a half-day or full day. The segment “Communicating with Difficult People” is frequently requested.

COMMUNICATING YOUR CAREER DEVELOPMENT NEEDS
Often employees will leave an organization without ever communicating their career development needs to their managers or supervisors. This workshop will help employees clarify their career development needs, overcome barriers to receiving performance feedback, and feel empowered to communicate their career development needs.

MANAGING CHANGE EFFECTIVELY
Change that is brought on both in the work environment and in an employee's personal life can cause stress responses that can interfere with work performance. This workshop will provide employees with the tools to understand the change process and develop skills to enhance their ability to cope with the stress that is inherent during times of change.

MENTORING/COACHING SKILLS
Managers are taught essential skills that are needed to coach or mentor employees to achieve higher levels of performance. Managers learn how to build trusting relationships and learn techniques to communicate in an effective manner. We also work with the employee in peer coaching groups focused on building a support network within the organization and as a tool for follow-up skill building following a training session.

TEAMBUILDING: IMPROVING COMMUNICATION & COOPERATION
This is an experientially based workshop in which a series of games/exercises are used to help team members communicate effectively, understand differing perspectives and solve problems together. A self-assessment tool can be incorporated to help participants better understand their contribution to the team.
